Never dealt with Lloyds but have a variety of friends who've had bother
with over years which could be summed up as " we're doing you a favour by
letting you have an account with us".

I have a business account with RBS who have local business managers and
publish the branch phone numbers so you can phone up the branch; and it is
the branch not a redirect to a call centre. They're also working hard on
getting things right as they become Williams & Glynn's because I've been
involved with the focus groups.

We went there a few years ago, the owner was an odd bod. It was this time
of year, and raining. Thre were only about 6 visitors, so we got a behind
the scenes tour (Ostriches are fsking big up close!) He claimed to be the
bassist from "The Tornados" in the 60s, then tried to sell us the park. The
parrot show dude was an ex dog trainer from Midlands Plod.

Anyone have any views on Lloyds bank for business?

Posted by Jenny List <jennyalto-at-gmail.com> on 28 February 2015 | 0 Comments

I'm in search of a business bank account. Most of the Usual Suspects
ruled themselves out by saying "You'll have to talk to our call centre
for that", in one case[1] adding a "sir".

I do not want to have to deal with a call centre or internet banking,
if there are people in the branch they should damn' well be able to
help me.

Except Lloyds, who said "Of course, we can make an appointment with
our business banking bloke, and you can do everything in branch"[3]

Before I dive in, has the WIsdom of Ixion anything to say about this
particular den of wolves?

Seems to be good so far, if you are interested I can nip to my local
tool emporium and see how much one is, the shipping would be cheap and
the NZD is in your favour i believe!

Last night, and much of today, I've been trying (and failing) to set up =

Much installation of software and updating of firmware and trying =
different ports etc etc etc.

After about 6 hours, I _eventually_ found (in the digital equivalent of =
a locked cabinet in the basement of Seagate's website) a not mentioning =
that the password can't include special characters such as $. As, =
naturally, mine did.

Words fail me!

A combination of FB and knowing where 51's were made (50 miles S of
where I sit) helped. Have a happy one!

I have a brace of Parker 25 fountain pens. That must be nearly as good
as a 51.

Roger.
